Début 2008, à mon retour de Guyane, où j'étais professeur des écoles contractuel dans un village Amerindien en forêt, je me suis concentré sur l'apprentissage du travail du bambou, tout d'abord chez BAMBOUSCOPIC, à Vielle Soubiran (40) où j’ai participé à la fabrication de mâts de chapiteau en bambou vendus par http://www.abribambou.com/
Puis je suis parti en Colombie à l'automne 2008, pays considéré comme le leader mondial de l’architecture bambou, chez Joerg Stamm, charpentier renommé.
Nous avons mis au point un prototype de kiosque démontable inspiré du système mero, (trop cher et peu pratique au montage pour permettre sa commercialisation).
puis j’ai travaillé sur le mobilier « le kamasofa » modulable et sur une variante de la yourte
ainsi qu'une structure en bambou et terre comme prototype pour une maison écologique
et un pont
Après avoir réalisé une yourte en bambou, j’ai continué pendant l'hiver 2009-2010 mon apprentissage en Colombie en particulier pour la construction d'un kiosque de 150 m2

J’ai consacré les derniers trois mois de mon séjour à développer un nouveau système de jointures en métal pour la fabrication de kiosques démontables :

Origin of the project and work completed
At the beginning of 2008, on my return from Guyana, where I was working as contractual teacher in an isolated Amerindian village, already convinced from the mutltiple interest of bamboo, I concentrated on training on bamboo building
I first joined the association BAMBOUSCOPIC, in Vielle Soubiran (40) where I took part in the manufacture of poles for marquees commercialized by http://www.abribambou.com/
Then in automn, I left for Colombia, a country considered as the world leader in bamboo architecture, at Joerg Stamm's, famous carpenter.
We developed a prototype of dismountable kiosk inspired by the mero system, (too expensive and not very practical to assemble to allow its marketing). then I worked on furniture “the flexible kamasofa” and on an alternative of the yurt.
Then I helped building a bamboo structture as a prototype for an ecological house..
I regressed again in Colombia in spring 2009 to organize a container for a bamboo project in the castle of Laas in the Atlantic Pyrenees, where during summer 2009, I worked as a supervisor for the company « PLISSON » in Pau (64) to the realization of 2 kiosks and a bridge
After having carried out a bamboo yurt, I continued during winter 2009 to spring 2010 my training in Colombia participating in particular in the construction of a 150 m2 kiosk.
I devoted the last three months of my stay to develop a new system of metal joints for the manufacture of dismountable kiosks: 1st version then 2nd version
